The 50-year-old building, with its simple brick architecture and space for over 300 students, first opened in the 1950s as the Men’s Graduate Student Center, housing for graduate students. As the University’s undergraduate population grew, it became an undergraduate dormitory, renamed Trent Drive Hall, in 1976. Wedged between Central Campus and the Medical Center, the last remnant of North Campus is now comprised of office space as well as the Social Science Research Institute.
